VETC220 Small Animal Clinical Procedures
Provides students with hands-on experience conducting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures with small animals; students entering the job market must be able to easily make the transition from academic institution to the workplace; essentials in animal restraint and basic procedures; some basic specialty examinations. Laboratory course geared toward a variety of clinically relevant diagnostic and therapeutic procedures with small animal species; restraint, physical examination procedures, venipuncture, administration of medications, sample collection and general first aid and emergency care; students develop their technical skills in a veterinary setting. Attendance is mandatory.
Prerequisite
1) Admission into Veterinary Technician program, 2) Proof of vaccination: rabies and tetanus, 3) Proof of health insurance, 4) VETC101, VETC110 and VETC125, all with C or better.
