VETC105 Veterinary Terminology and Communication
This course will provide students with basic foundation in the language of veterinary medical terminology used in veterinary medicine. Focus will be placed on the major components (prefixes, suffixes, root words, and combining forms) of medical terms and common abbreviations used in medical records. Students will learn the definitions of veterinary medical terminology, ba able to interpret the meaning, build a working vocabulary of veterinary terms, and effectively and professionally communicate these terms to the client in multiple formats: written, oral, non-verbal and electronic. Restricted to Veterinary Technician students.
