HOSP130 Convention Services and Catering Management

 This course focuses on the foundation of convention services, which includes reaching and servicing the group meetings and special event marketsThe process of selling space, function types, table design, room design, technology and event trends. The course will also cover the management practices with guest demographic, client and employee communication. The planning, financing, organizing, marketing and operations of catered events are discussion topics. Students apply learning through the participation in three on-campus catered events.
