BIOS220 Field Zoology

This course provides an overview of animal groups, emphasizing the vertebrate fauna of eastern Pennsylvania. The lecture portion of the course will cover concepts in animal morphological and behavioral adaptations, ecological relationships, evolutionary history, and conservation. Laboratory sessions will include a number of field trips to local sites of interest and will focus on species identification and animal survey methods.
