VETC210 Large Animal Clinical Procedures

Eight-week laboratory course conducted at the Vet Tech barn/animal facility, designed to provide students with hands-on experience in large animal clinical procedures; restraint, physical examination, venipuncture, administration of medications via various routes, wound treatment, bandaging, sample collection, radiology and general husbandry procedures; species include cow, horse, sheep and goat. Attendance is mandatory.

Prerequisite

1) Admission into Veterinary Technician program, 2) Proof of vaccination: rabies and tetanus, 3) Proof of health insurance, 4) VETC101, VETC110 and VETC115, all with C or better.
