ESLL010 Clear Speech II

This is the second course in the study of English pronunciation for non-native speakers with intermediate level language proficiency.  The course continues the study of pronunciation skills though the study of the phonetic alphabet.  In this class, students will learn to accurately articulate English vowels, vowel blends, and linking and ending consonant sounds.  Students will further explore how to effectively use rhythm, stress, and intonation in the oral communication.  In addition, students complete 15 hours of independent study using ESL software as part of the requirements for this course.  Prereq.- English language competence as determined by the ESL department through testing and/or course work
