The American juvenile justice system, its components and functions are examined, focusing on juvenile crime, applicable law and procedures, and theories of delinquency. In addition to examining the evolution and transformation of the juvenile justice systems, students will gain an understanding of the current issues in juvenile justice in the United States and around the world.
