Occupational Safety and Health, Specialized Diploma

Overview

Narrative

Creating a safe workplace is the responsibility of all employers. For small to medium sized organizations, this responsibility may fall to employees with little or no formal health and safety training. For that reason, Northampton has developed the Occupational Safety & Health Specialized Diploma. The Specialized Diploma will enable human resources professionals, plant managers and business administration majors to obtain the health and safety skills necessary to control and mitigate workplace hazards and ensure regulatory compliance. Offered in a convenient 100% online format, the diploma can be completed in only one year of study.

Features

NCC’s Occupational Safety and Health program provides the essential skills necessary to control hazardous and environmental exposures in the workplace and to prevent worker illness and injuries. Concept electives will prepare participants for either a general industry or construction workplace safety role. Convenient, 100% online format enables participants to complete the program as a full time student or part-time while working.

The program has associations with the National Safety Council, American Society of Safety Professionals, and the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA). Contact the Admissions Office at 610-861-5500 for further information.
