The analysis of human culture as it has evolved to the present, covering theories and methods, cultural universals and variations in such areas as marriage and family, politics, economics, kinship, religion and the arts, with an emphasis on non-Western and non-industrial societies.  Course numbers ending with G are Writing Intensive (WI).
